System Requirements

Before installation, please check whether your computer meets the following system

requirements. Your system must meet or exceed the following requirements:

• Pentium-class processor with 500 MHz

• System memory: 128 megabytes RAM (256 MB recommended)

• Operating system: Windows 2000, XP, Vista

• Video card supporting a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels at 24 bit color (true color)

• CD-ROM drive

• 2 MB free hard disk space

Installation

Insert the CD-ROM into your drive. If the CD does not start automatically, please open

your CD drive in Windows Explorer, double-click SETUP or SETUP.EXE and follow the

instructions.

Search

Enter your search terms into the field [1] in the lower left.

Limiting Search Results

You can control the number of hits by

• searching only entries/keywords in the glossary [2]

• searching in the full text of all articles [3]

Select your preferred search mode by activating the appropriate radio button.

Advanced Search

You can also control the number of hits by entering only the first few letters of a search

term. All terms that start with these letters will be displayed. You may search for terms

following each other by setting a blank. Any combination between restriction of search

results and advanced search is possible.

Results Window

After the search is complete, the narrow window [4] above the search field displays all

glossary entries that match your search criteria. The number of hits is displayed next to

the search field [5]. If the number is zero, your search did not produce any results.

Text Window

The text and figures are displayed on the right side of the screen [6].

Using the arrow icons [7], you can switch between the already displayed documents.

The buttons in the middle [8] can be used to change the font size of the glossary

articles.

Using the button “Print or Save” [9], you can print out the current glossary entry or save

it to disk.

Many glossary articles contain links to other articles. These are displayed in the sections

“See”, “See also” or “Compare”. Simply click on such a link to jump to the relevant entry.

Quit the Program

To quit, please click on the button [10].

This software allows you to design the layouts of the metal frame

of removable partial dentures. It works in 3 modes:

  1. Manual mode : the pattern of tooth loss (realized in real arcades) is defined by clicking on the missing teeth, and double clicking to restore teeth. The implementation of the various elements (clasps, saddles, secondary connections) are made ??from libraries. The course of the primary connection is performed by an aided design software that smoothes the shapes.
  2. Semi-automatic mode : the software implements the various elements of the frame (clasps, saddles, secondary connections) thanks to artificial intelligence routines based on the principles of rigid and semi-rigid prosthetic treatments . The design of the main connection does not exist in the semi-automatic mode and must be performed is the manual which is assisted by the software. All of the possible cases ares solved (except classes V Applegate-Kennedy).
  3. Automatic mode : the software designs and entirely draws the metal frame (1600 events of main connection are stored). In case of an unstored primary connection, it is possible either to draw it, and the software will remember it (self learning) or to send  the pattern of tooth loss to the software author (by an option which is expected). The scheme of the main connection will be returned and fit in the program.
